If you only ever buy one plaid throw, this is the one that outlives the trend. Pendleton has been weaving in Oregon since 1863, and the Yakima is 86% virgin wool with a cotton warp, which is why it hangs with real weight instead of floating like acrylic. The Lake colourway reads soft blue-and-cream rather than shouty holiday tartan, so it stays out all year. Whipstitched edges rather than fringe means nothing unravels.

Good to know: It is by far the most expensive throw here, and wool is warm enough that it can be too much for a heated room. Spot clean or dry clean only — this is not a blanket you toss in the wash after a movie night.
