MORA Ceramic Fluted Pie Dish, 9 in, Deep, Speckled White with Terracotta Base

Harvest tableware has a gap in it: the plates are seasonal but the pie arrives in a supermarket foil tin. This closes it. Deep fluted porcelain with a scalloped rim and a raw terracotta foot, which is the detail that ties it to the pumpkin and amber pieces on the rest of the table rather than fighting them. It is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, so the same dish holds the apple pie in October and a gratin in January, and nothing has to be decanted before it goes down in front of anyone.

Good to know: Nine inches deep takes noticeably longer to bake through than a shallow metal tin - expect to add ten to fifteen minutes and to shield the fluted rim if it browns early. It is heavy when full, and the unglazed foot will mark a bare wood table, so it wants a trivet.
